Wem Jubilee Band

The Wem Jubilee Band

Wem Jubilee Band is a progressive brass band based in the North Shropshire town of Wem.  The Band currently competes in the 4th Section of the Midlands Brass Band Region.  The present Band was formed in the year of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee 1977, although the Band can trace its roots back to the early 1930’s.  Since the Band’s reformation a lot of hard work has been put in over the years and it has gradually grown from strength to strength undertaking more and more engagements, entering the contest field as well as a number of visits to Wem’s twin town in France.
